I'm eager to grow my own foods.
Have a great week!

Blessings,
JillJillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14904921240840944999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5507019520537221461.post-91918111470611724802012-04-09T13:24:05.504-05:002012-04-09T13:24:05.504-05:00We grew cauliflower a couple of years ago. You want to keep the sun off the heads so they stay white. You may have to resort to tying up the outer leaves to keep the heads covered. Aphids love cauliflower as do cabbage worms since it's in the Brassicaceae family.slugmamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12728856166374248591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5507019520537221461.post-38694331015185882792012-04-09T08:10:11.421-05:002012-04-09T08:10:11.421-05:00Love growing broccoli but you need to watch for wh...Love growing broccoli but you need to watch for white butterfly that land and place eggs - they'll be large green caterpillars that will try to eat it down to the stub. They start as tiny so they're hard to spot but they grow fast and will demolish your crops very fast. Also your grapes will need a trellis - it grows fast and will spread long branches that can't support itself.

love your volunteer potato - can't wait to see what it produces. And tomatoes are growing nicely. I'm actually thinking of moving mine under tent and see if they'll make it, but we're still in low 30's at night so they might die off.

I also planted lots of things this weekend, including two more fig bushes, more asparagus, and tons of flowers.Jenny Rottingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09559432369642740389noreply@blogger.com
