The 2012 USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map

The USDA released the updated Plant Hardiness Zone Map earlier this week.  The map reflects a progressive warming trend.


Looks like we moved from zone 5b to 6a. Be sure to check the map and see what zone you are in now.

    we got moved to 6a as well from zone 5 that I always used.

    Jenny I'm surprised they moved your area up. Some things I think I will be able to start earlier, but there is other vegetables I'm not so sure about. Trial and error as well as time will tell.

    are you planning any new varieties of tomatoes this year? i know you have alot of space to play with. if you want i can send you some interesting types that I'll be trying this year.
