When I got the paper Monday I seen that Hy-Vee was giving away a FREE reusable shopping bag. They also had my hubbies beloved Michelina's on sale for .88 and $1.25each depending upon which type. With Hy-Vee being a 30 minute drive one way it was not worth driving there to get the bag when I could have Wal-Mart price match the frozen dinners.
I learned today I would have to drive into the city to meet with our mortgage lender to get some papers signed and took the opportunity to cherry pick and pick up a free bag.
I used $3.40 in coupons my coupon buddies sent me on 10 of the .88 each and 6 of the $1.25 dinners. My final out of pocket was $13.42 making them .84 each. Now the freezer is stuffed with lunches for hubby.
And here's the FREE reusable bag I recvd for my purchase. I love that it's blue and says "I'm Green". lol
I got my free bag today, too. Along with their sale ground beef and some 1.69 Sheboygan brand bratwursts that I had a 75¢ coupon for. I also transferred one of my prescriptions over there and by doing so, I got a $20 gift card for free.
ReplyDeleteannie Whoo Hooooo! You did some great cherry picking. :)
ReplyDeleteToo bad we don't have these stores here but nice going on the trip! I have more coupons for you to send but that's one very stuffed freezer :)
ReplyDeleteJenny Yeah that stinks you have no Hyvee. That is my refrig/freezer. I hate it because it's so small. Thank goodness I have my big upright that has plenty of room.
