CVS Gift Card Giveaway
My readers all know that I love playing the "drugstore game" and that my favorite store is CVS with Walgreens coming in second.
So to kick off some exciting giveaways I have lined up for the month of August to celebrate my 2nd blogaversary, I wanted to give away a CVS $10 gift card! $10 at CVS if you know how to play, can snag you quite a bit of goodies.
Make sure each entry has it's own comment or they won't count individually. You can enter up to 3 times; one for each listed below. Here is how to enter.......
1. Leave a comment about CVS. It can be your favorite CVS shopping tip, your best shopping trip, a great deal coming up, customer service, or anything you would like to share with all of us. Remember you MUST do this first or your extra entries will be invalid.
2. Write about this giveaway on your own site, then leave a separate comment with a link to your post.
3. Tweet about my giveaway on Twitter, leave the link in comments. Remember! You MUST do #1 AND #2 before doing this for an extra entry.
Entry deadline: Monday, August 3, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. CDT.
I'll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment. The winners will be announced here, Tuesday August 4, 2009.
The winner will have 48 hours to email me to claim the prize; otherwise a new winner will be randomly selected.
This giveaway is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada.
Good luck!

My favorite CVS time was my 1st time. It was my only time so that might have something to do with it. I spent the same OOP that I would have on milk, eggs, and BBQ and got free (after tax) 2 sets of free pens, filler paper and panty liner.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite CVS trips are the ones that come out to a zero OOP and on top of that make a profit by using CRTs and email coupons.
ReplyDeleteI also love seeing people's faces when I show them a picture of my shopping trips and say, "all of that cost me 12 cents."
I love the extra care bucks I get every motnh from cvs!

My CVS cashier saw me coming last night, and he remarked that he has not seen me in WEEKS(don't ask, lol). He was actually shocked,it is so nice to know and get along with MOST of the cashiers in a store. We have all had the "bad experience",and I am grateful for my nice CVS cashiers.

I love shopping at CVS and the best advice I can give is to make a list and have a plan of what you want to buy. List items and have your coupons ready, study the sales paper. Once you are at the store and maybe they are out of stock on certain sales items get a rain check they always come in handy. So just be prepared!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite CVS trips are when my fiancee comes with me and he marvels at how much stuff we get when I pay so little. He rolls his eyes when I cut coupons and pour through the CVS ad, but he's always happy at how much we're saving!
ReplyDeletegirlfrugal[at]gmail[dot]com
My favorite CVS trip was went I spent an OOP of about $3 or $4 but I knew I had a mail-in rebate to send in for $6.99 so the trip was a moneymaker! It was my first trip ever like that to any store.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love about CVS is they only charge tax on the amount left AFTER ECBs are applied. Because of that, I've managed to walk out of there with a perfectly zero total, and with more ECBs to spend! :)
ReplyDeleteFor 3 weeks i didnt get the cvs ad in my local sunday paper and i was bummed! I got it this week and was happy, but i havent had a chance to go. Im still working off my stockpile i got from spring at cvs. I have so much shampoo, toothpaste, body wash and deodorant that i got for SUPER cheap from cvs
ReplyDeleteMy favorite - being on the advisory panel online - they are suppose to be giving my 10ECB's on August 13th for filling out a survey comparing them and Walgreens!
ReplyDeleteMy local Longs has recently converted to CVS and I'm really loving all the great deals I get there now!

Yesterday at CVS the cashier commented that I always have such long receipts and always get extra bucks! The shift manager likes to see what deals I get and yesterday even bought my son a ball.

I looooove my CVS! My favorite cashier and manager are there and they always help me with my deals. They are also so sweet with Sonny Boy. He gets a lollipop from them almost every time we go in and they know him by name.
ReplyDeleteI posted about your giveaway on my blog. Hopefully you can do the same for me next month ;o)

One of my favorite tips is to scan the CVS kiosk when you first enter the store. You never know what good deals might be available before you start shopping.
ReplyDeleteThanks for offering this, how nice of you. I'm not blogging, but I do have your blog in my reader. :)
My best CVS trip was walking out with 4 boxes of hair color, two cases of bottled water, 3 12-packs of Diet Coke and about 15 bottles of Palmolive dish soap all for a grand total of 55-cents after coupons and ECBs. Just made me so happy :) And to think I used to pooh-pooh CVS becaue I just didn't get into the whole ECB thing - LOL!

ReplyDeleteI guess my favorite time would be getting $75+ worth of stuff for less than $1. :o) Haven't seen too many good deals lately other than back to school but hope it will improve before winter holidays.

I LOVE CVS because they honor other retailers prescription drug coupons. In the past 2 weeks, I have gotten $150.00 worth of Free CVS Giftcards using Kmart coupons that gave you a $25.00 Giftcard for each prescription. I will stretch those giftcards for months.
ReplyDeleteI have just recently started shopping at CVS and LOVE IT!! I have done some great things there. One of my best trips was when I bought 35.00 worth of band aids for $5.36 (tax included...with out tax $2.23) and got $15.00 in ECB's! Then went in the next week and got $70.00 worth of stuff for $8.46 (tax included, mostly tax can not remember total without tax). And still have $3.00 in ECB's. I just love CVS.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger, i had a CVS righy by me and I loved it. I always liked to go and look around and buy notebooks b/c I'm a big writer and I loved the gel pens. It was just a store I remember from growing up and it has a lot of stuff you often need.

ReplyDeleteI love shopping at CVS and have many to choose from around my home and work!! So I stick closest to home and then venture out farther if there is a really good deal that week!
ReplyDeleteI love CVS because of the amount of items you can get there for free or almost free with coupons and ECBs. I also love that my CVS is coupon friendly and they have the nicest cashiers and managers, always willing to help.
ReplyDeleteNo CVS near me but I went with my mom once in FL and was amazed at how the ECBs worked. Free stuff is always great!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite CVS trip was when my cashier informed me that using a $3 off cvs brand coupon would make something free. I just smiled back. She continued to stare at me like I was stupid or had grown horns. It took a minute of her staring at me before she would finish the transaction.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite trips to CVS are when I find great clearance deals! I can never seem to "roll" ECBs because of the clearance section! LOL.

I love going to CVS and getting stuff for free. Ihave a great time looking at all the makeup. I guess it is the little girl in me coming out and remembering how I loved doing that when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteThe CVS near my house is brand new and one of my favorite things is the machine they have in the front where you can scan your CVS card and get a coupon that way. The folks that work there are nice. It is a pleasant shopping experience.
I Love CVS. I'm so glad I learned about all the free stuff. I was really missing out, but not anymore. It's also wonderful to be able to roll the ECB's.
ReplyDeletescottdwenger@fuse.net
My favorite trip was when I got YEARS worth of Tresemme for pocket change!

My favorite CVS adventure has to be the $3 off any CVS brand item, and so many CVS brand products created ECBs like the Gold Emblem Cheese Crackers, the Cotton Squares, and so many other useful things like cheap trash bags and paper products. I double, triple heart CVS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like that at CVS if an item with ECB is not in stock, you can get a raincheck and the ECB will print when you do eventually buy it.
ReplyDeleteI call EB's "monopoly money" that I get to spend on stuff! My best shopping was Thanksgiving weekend! I think I got 100.00 worth of stuff for about 11.00 and change! Sooooo much fun!
ReplyDeleteI just started playing the CVS game about 6 months ago and I am so in love witht he store. My favorite thing is when I scan my card and get a great coupon in addition to all my deals I already have planned.
ReplyDeleteOur Long's Drugstores are switching over to CVS and I couldn't be happier. When I first read about CVS on HCW, I rushed over to their website and ordered a ECB card. It came in the mail and I logged on to find out where CVS was and found out the clostest one was 100 miles away. ha ha Now, I can use the card and I've been getting free school supplies and got some CVS nuts for free when I scanned my card. Whoo-hoo

No blog or twitter for me. Ahhh.
Just when you have all your coupons and ECB's lined up, you walk into CVS and they have an additional source of savings-- the coupon kiosk center!! I love it!! CVS is the best!

I love going to CVS early Sunday mornings. The manager is always excited to see how much I save. I come home and pull out all of my goodies and my family plays the guessing game of what I paid (I tell them what it all would have cost originally). My DH says it is like winning a mini-lottery every week (what we save at CVS).
